REGIONAL HUB WEST, CENTRAL, AND INDIAN OCEAN AFRICA

Regional Hub West, Central, and Indian Ocean Africa is one of the five hubs of the Global Sanitation Graduate School. It is hosted by International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and led by a Regional Director Prof. Anderson Harinaivo Andrianisa. The hub is managed by the 2iE team together with a core team consisting of representatives of key partners from the region. Furthermore, the regional hub embraces academic institutions and supporting partners from practice in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria. Academic partners in the hub stated with educational offerings under the GSGS in 2019. The first GSGS Master’s students in this region graduated in 2021.
