Regional Hub LATIN AMERICA

Regional Hub South and Southeast Asia is one of the five hubs of the Global Sanitation Graduate School. It is hosted by Technological University of Uruguay (UTEC) in Montevideo, Uruguay, and led by a Regional Director Prof. Hector Garcia. The hub is managed by the UTEC team together with a core team consisting of representatives of key partners from the region. Furthermore, the regional hub embraces academic institutions and supporting partners from practice from the majority of Latin American countries. Academic partners in the hub stated with educational offerings under the GSGS in 20122. The first GSGS Master’s students in this region graduated in 2025.
