Regional Hub East and Southern Africa

Regional Hub East and Southern Africa is one of the five hubs of the Global Sanitation Graduate School. It is hosted by National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) in Kampala, Uganda, and led by a Regional Director Dr. Rose Christine Kaggwa. The hub is managed by the NWSC team together with a core team consisting of representatives of key partners from the region. Furthermore, the regional hub embraces academic institutions and supporting partners from practice in Uganda, Kenya, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. Academic partners in the hub stated with educational offerings under the GSGS in 2019. The first GSGS Master’s students in this region graduated in 2021.

National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) based in Uganda joined GSGS in 2025 and hosts the GSGS Regional Hub East and Southern Africa in Kampala.
