This course introduces the core principles of establishing a functional Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system across varying contexts—humanitarian, developmental, simple, and complex organizational settings. It guides participants through practical steps to ensure MEAL data is effectively utilized for informed decision-making, adaptive learning, and accountability. Special attention is given to the application of MEAL in sanitation management, highlighting how evidence-based approaches can strengthen service delivery, improve public health outcomes, and support inclusive WASH programming.
