M.Sc in Sanitation Infrastructure Program

Universitas Andalas

The Indonesian Environmental Quality Index indicates that the environmental status in Indonesia is less than satisfactory. This situation necessitates skilled environmental experts to tackle increasingly complex environmental challenges. The Master of Environmental Engineering program at Andalas University aims to produce qualified professionals who can contribute to solving environmental problems in Indonesia with enhanced competence and understanding. This postgraduate program collaborates with The Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) IHE Delft, focusing specifically on non-pipeline sanitation. One of the program’s objectives is to train 1,000 master’s level professionals in environmental engineering, particularly in the sanitation sector. The collaboration includes research exchanges with other universities, allowing for a shared learning experience. Ultimately, this program is designed to equip graduates with the skills to identify problems, evaluate situations, plan effectively, develop solutions, and manage various sanitation issues.
