Graduate Professional Diploma Programme (GPDP) in Humanitarian WASH

Universidad Tecnológica del Uruguay – UTEC

Developed in collaboration with UTEC – Universidad Tecnológica, the programme has been adapted to the Latin American context and is taught in Spanish to ensure high-quality, contextualised training. The diploma, part of the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS), consists of 4 online courses, with optional in-person sessions at UTEC. Participants may complete the full programme or select individual courses that best fit their needs and interests.

The courses are designed to train professionals interested in contributing to the integrated management of water, sanitation, and hygiene in emergency situations, including natural disasters and social crises caused by conflict or displacement. Each course has a study load of 140 hours, for a total of 560 hours for the full programme.

The official launch of the programme will take place on 9 September at 9:30 (GMT-3)

The event will feature keynote presentations by international experts in the WASH sector:
International Experiences in the WASH Sector by Jean pierre Veyrenche, International WASH Consultant (France)
UNICEF’s WASH Experience by Victor Nagakane, UNICEF (Panama)
WASH Experiences in the Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza by Angelica Rada, UNRWA and IOM (Colombia/Gaza)
