Wastewater management in Rancaekek (Indonesia)
Rancaekek sub district is located in the Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Based on the health profile of the Linggar Health Center, diarrheal disease is in the ten highest list of diseases in 2019-2021, in 2019, 1,177 cases of diarrhea were found, this number has decreased until 2021, 191 cases of diarrhea have been found. The high morbidity rate due to cases of diarrhea indicates that there is still a need for efforts to improve sanitation in the Linggar Village area, where currently there are 8,187 households that do not yet have sanitary latrine facilities and require domestic wastewater facilities. In an effort to improve sanitation conditions in Linggar Village and Rancaekek Wetan Village, it is necessary to have a strategy in the management of domestic wastewater that can be implemented properly by the community. Analytical Network Process (ANP) is used to develop models and formulate problems, determining the ratio scale using pairwise comparison (1-9) ANP is used to obtain criteria weights used for Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) Analysis. SWOT is used to determine priority strategies and programs. The results show that waste water management in Rancaekek District is in quadrant III (Weakness and Threat). The Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square method is used to see the effect of significant strategies and programs to be implemented. The results of the analysis show that the Weakness indicator (0.875) is the main indicator compared to the Threat indicator (0.278) so that efforts to minimize internal weaknesses are the main goal for implementing the sustainability of the sanitation program in Rancaekek District.
