University of Zimbabwe celebrates new graduates in MSc in Sanitation and Wastewater Management

On 15 August 2025, the University of Zimbabwe celebrated the graduation of its 3rd MSc cohort in Sanitation and Wastewater Management — 12 students (4 female, 8 male) who are now equipped with the skills to transform Zimbabwe’s water and sanitation landscape.

Dr. Webster Gumindoga, GSGS Zimbabwe Coordinator, remarked: “Each of the dissertation projects by these graduates demonstrates how applied science can directly transform lives and communities. This cohort has proven that Zimbabwean scholars are not just learning — they are leading the way in sustainable water and sanitation solutions for Africa.”

Guided by the university’s motto, #EducatingToChangeLives, these graduates are poised to pioneer innovative solutions in wastewater management, sanitation technologies, and sustainable resource management.
