Keynote about GSGS at Eco Expo Asia 2025
Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) is proud to be the topic of the keynote at the first plenary session of today’s program at Eco Expo Asia 2025 in Hong Kong. In his 30-minute address, GSGS Director Damir Brdjanovic, Professor at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, shared his insights on his 15 years of experience in developing and implementing this massive capacity building program in sanitation. This program, now known as GSGS, is the world’s largest SDG6 accelerator on postgraduate education in sanitation. GSGS aims to train 10,000 individuals by 2030. Professor Brdjanovic emphasised the significance of regional hubs, particularly the recently established GSGD Regional Hub East Asia, headquartered in Hong Kong.
Today’s program features other captivating sessions on capacity development, underscoring the growing awareness and broad recognition that investments in strategic programs to strengthen human resources in the water and sanitation sectors are crucial for securing a sustainable future.
