GSGS Regional Hub South and Southeast Asia and ITN-BUET join forces to tackle sanitation challenges

The Global Sanitation Graduate School Regional Hub South and Southeast Asia (GSGS RH SSEA) has entered into a strategic partnership with the International Training Network Centre at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (ITN-BUET) to strengthen regional knowledge exchange and capacity development in the sanitation sector.
The Partnership Agreement was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Rowshan Mamtaz, Director of ITN-BUET, with Mr. Alaudin Ahmed, Project Manager of the Citywide Inclusive Sanitation Scaling and Sanitation Innovation Project, serving as witness. Representing the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the agreement was signed by Prof. Thammarat Koottatep, Director of the Global Water and Sanitation Centre (GWSC), with Prof. Tanvir Ahmed, Regional Director of GSGS RH SSEA, serving as witness.
Under this collaboration, ITN-BUET will host and facilitate GSGS workshops in Bangladesh and contribute to the Regional Sanitation Knowledge Repository. Prof. Tanvir Ahmed, in his role as Regional Director, will continue to lead GSGS RH SSEA in close consultation with AIT and regional partners to foster stronger knowledge sharing, capacity building, and impactful sanitation implementation across South and Southeast Asia.
This partnership marks an important step toward advancing inclusive and sustainable sanitation solutions for the region.
