GSGS Director visits Gates Foundation WSH Team in Seattle

Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) Director Prof. Damir Brdjanovic visited the Gates Foundation’s Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WSH) team in Seattle, spending a productive time with Dr. Roshan Shrestha and Dr. Najib Bateganya, Deputy Directors of WSH and Strategic Advisors to GSGS.

The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the operations of the six GSGS Regional Hubs, updates to the GSGS curriculum, diversification and expansion of membership, hub-to-hub collaboration, and long-term sustainability.

The visit was highly encouraging, reaffirming the strong partnership between GSGS and the Gates Foundation. GSGS continues to play a vital role in building global human capacity in sanitation through high-quality education and training – an effort that will remain central to advancing global sanitation in the years ahead.
