Global Sanitation Graduate School wins award at IWA’s Water and Development Congress in Rwanda

The Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) was named the winner of an Inclusive Urban Sanitation Champions Award in the category of youth engagement. The Award, given by the International Water Association (IWA) as part of its Inclusive Urban Sanitation initiative, encourages and recognizes contributions towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6.2, which calls for universal access to adequate and equitable sanitation and hygiene. IWA announced the winners at the closing ceremony for the IWA Water and Development Congress, held in Kigali, Rwanda. IWA’s President Tom Mollenkopf presented the Award to Prof. Dr. Damir Brdjanovic and Dr. Roshan Raj Shrestha, founders of the GSGS.
