Em. Prof. Amadou Hama Maiga and Prof. Guanghao Chen join the cohort of GSGS Ambassadors

The Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS) proudly announces that Emeritus Professor Amadou Hama Maiga of Mali and Professor Guanghao Chen of Hong Kong SAR China, have been named recipients of the prestigious GSGS Ambassador Award.

The GSGS Ambassador Award honors individuals whose outstanding and sustained contributions have advanced the mission and vision of the Global Sanitation Graduate School.

Professors Maiga and Chen have been integral to GSGS since its founding in 2017. Until recently, they served on the GSGS Monitoring and Evaluation Team, overseeing the academic evaluation of funding proposals from partner institutions in Africa and Asia. Through their dedication and expertise, they have played a pivotal role in strengthening the GSGS framework and ensuring the seamless expansion of the Delft-based master’s program to 55 universities across Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

Their commitment and leadership exemplify the spirit of the GSGS, inspiring the next generation of sanitation professionals around the world.
