Dr. Roshan Raj Shrestha received the first IWA Global Sanitation Leader Award

The GSGS co-founder and a member of the GSGS Governing Board, Dr. Roshan Raj Shrestha received the first IWA Global Sanitation Leader Award at the closing ceremony of the IWA Water and Development Congress and Exhibition in Bangkok.

I was profoundly honored to receive the Global Sanitation Leader Award from the International Water Association (IWA) at the Water and Development Congress, December 2025. This recognition is not just mine – it belongs to every colleague, community members, partners, and believers in the mission of ensuring safe and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene for all.
