Application of UF membranes in the context of treatment of waste streams (India)

In this project thesis we discussed the different membranes, application of ultrafiltration (UF) membrane and used of UF to remove various bacteria, viruses from the waste water from STP, ETP, WTP, household etc., also how UF membrane works on the reduction of turbidity and TSS value. After removal of bacteria, viruses and reduction of TSS and turbidity we can use that waste water for industrial purpose like washing machinery, washing company premises, can use as a flush water or to water the plants also they can sell the water for same purpose to nearby localities, societies or to the municipalities. Use of UF membrane can also useful to meet the parameter decided by the government.
Looking at the current situation of water, water scarcity is not the issue coming in near future but it is already happening all around the world. As time passes this situation will be worsening and to combat this problem it is important to have some solution, where UF can play an important role in waste water industry.
