AMBASSADORS

The Ambassador Award recognizes an exceptional and significant contribution by an individual to the mission and vision of the GSGS.

Over the course of the last few years, Roshan Shrestha, Brian Arbogast, Danielle Pedi, Jan-Willem Rosenboom, Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy, Jose Luis Inglese, Margreet Zwarteveen, and Jules van Lier have accepted the honor of becoming Ambassadors of the Global Sanitation Graduate School. Roshan founded and is a pillar of the GSGS, and his continuous support and strategic advice is invaluable. Brian, Danielle and Jan-Willem have each been instrumental in different phases of the GSGSʼs development as (now former) staff of the Gates Foundation. Kala has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the MSc in Sanitation Program at IHE Delft, the backbone of the GSGS, since its establishment in 2017, and is continuously facilitating the engagement of GSGS graduates with the IWA Young Water Professionals Program. Jose was a member of the Advisory Board of the same program and is actively promoting the expansion of the GSGS to Latin America. Margreet and Jules were engaged in the Delft-based program design and accreditation, and later they took an active role in it as teachers, research supervisors and Program Committee members.
